Decent subwoofer designed for smaller and nearfield setups.

I have had many edifier speakers both battery powered bluetooth and desktop sets. Their range is a little schizo, sometimes they provide great value for the price, some of the products are cheap and feel and sound cheap, others are definitely aiming at the higher end and may be a not so great value. I would put this subwoofer in the last category. This subwoofer definitely feels designed for near field desktop use paired with one of edifiers desktop speakers. In my case I paired them with the the S880 Mk II speakers. The tall thin form factor fits well alongside a desk or against a wall without cutting in to leg room. As for sound, it is adequate for its use case but its low 70W power really limits its use case. It sounds crisp and clear in a small room or desktop situation but is no match for even a similar sized home theatre subwoofer from Klipsch or Polk. So it works well in certain situations but it is no powerhouse.

AWESOME FOR SMALL SPACE USE - IT PAIRS WELL WITH EDIFER S880DB MKII SPEAKERS

These are very well put together and sound fantastic. A good price for sub-woofers, too. They definitely work well and fully meet my expectations. They don't put out MASSIVE amounts of bass so don't count on having concert level sound levels from them but you will definitely appreicate them at full volume - MORE than enough for me! (at full volume, TOO MUCH for anyone in adjacent rooms who don't want to hear thump thump thump).Fits nicely under my desk. I'll have to play around with optimal placement in the room (put it in your chair and crawl around the room looking for where it sounds best, then place it there).

I absolutely love it, despite the 20 minute scare and troubleshooting session because I forgot to remove the protective film covering the bass port. 😂

What I was expecting.

So far, I am loving my speaker!!! It hooked up easily to my r1700 bts speakers. I am trying to break it in properly, I am not bassing hard yet. Get with me in about3 months and I'll tell you more.

Bass That's Tighter Than My Budget (Which is Saying Something)

I got this Edifier T5s unit because I needed a basic sub to go with my studio monitors. You know, just to feel the boom a little bit. Since my mixer doesn't have a dedicated sub out, I connected the monitors right to this unit, and the crossover connection works fine. It takes the signal from the mixer without any issues, since it has a built-in amp.The bass is quite clean and punchy, which is what I wanted for monitoring. It is also loud enough to fill the small room I keep it in. Importantly, it is small enough that it doesn't take up too much space, (you don’t want something bulky tripping up the kids). For the tight budget I was on, this feels like a decent value. The low distortion claim holds up, even when I push the volume a bit. This is a solid foundation for home audio setups where space efficiency matters most.

Edifier doesn't disappoint

It's honestly a pretty good sounding sub and it's very compact and versatile. In a home setting, 70 W is more than enough. Even at half volume it's loud enough to annoy my neighbors. If your goal is just to add some low end to your living room or PC set up, I'd highly recommend it.

Edifer is qaulity

You want boom, you want thump or just good ole solid bass you can feel in your chest? No worries it has it all. A solid built cabinet that looks great and sounds great.I really like the gain and base controls, it allows for a more precise sound. I can not believe how deep it goes without distortion. It is my 3rd Edifer product and I am sure there will be more.

good quality for the price.

This is a must if you purchase any edifier shelf speakers. Even when the speakers have nice range of bass and treble, the subwoofer adds an important element of depth for lower frequencies. I love music in all of its formats, and this is a great entry level sub that has decent sound quality. The volume is quite loud but I rarely use it what I think may be 50% of its capacity. So, I haven't heard any distortion at all. Great value for the money spent. Finally, one thing I love about it is its size. It fits well in a small space while still delivering a nice punch.

Does not work with low levels signals.

It does not work with JBL MA510 audio receiver. The subwoofer is so quiet that it can be barely heard. Even with all knobs to max. Max on JBL +10dB, Max on woofer knob. I even installed headphones amplifier in between the audio receiver and subwoofer and you can barely hear the sound from it. Ridiculous. There should be a signal input in it taking low level subwoofer signal instead of the speaker signal. It is stupid design not suitable for home theater. Completely useless.

PC Perfect!

I added this sub to my Edifier QR65 speakers for more impactful delivery of movie soundtracks. It delivers extremely well. It's a bit large, but is also slim, which allows placement inches behind the PC monitor firing directly at it. I couldn't be more pleased with the purchase!

Impressive fullness of sound addition

A very impressive addition to bookshelf or pc speakers. You don't know what you're missing until you've connected this up, the range and clarity of the sound it produces is far better than your average standalone subwoofer, and it's a slimmer setup to boot so you can fit them about anywhere. Around 10-11 o'clock on the frequency knob will get you the best range of sound for most applications. This isn't going to rock you out of the house, they come close to producing as much bass as a similar sub in a larger box but they are unmatched in the quality of sound you get. It really does great job of giving your audio a fullness you didn't know you were missing until you hear it in tandem with your setup.

Fills the bass hole

0-180 flip volume and cut off. This fits great in small areas. It connects to my klipsche RM40s no problem and it works astonishingly well at filling a small office or room.
