This is basically a budget Sony WH-1000XM4. I will say this is a solid headphone. The noise canceling is comparable to the XM4s. I have tested them both in mowing, passenger car, and coffee shop environments. They both struggle a bit for mowing, but that is an extreme case. Unlike the XM4s the app has a preset that actually sounds pretty good right out of the box if you like a balanced sound. Just use the edifier preset. The XM4s can sound great, but they do require diving into the EQ settings and applying a fan-made EQ. The Edifier's also support EQ, though I am not the most experienced with EQ, and not enough time has passed for fans to be sharing their great creations. The app is just as fully featured and polished as Sony's offerings.Now, what are the downsides of choosing this instead of the XM4s? From my experience, it is just the build quality and sacrificing a bit of comfort. The pads feel noticeably cheaper and flatten quickly on the Edifiers, and the plastic feels cheaper and more creaky, and the hinges are noticeably lower quality. If these are minor issues to you then the Edifier is a great choice at a fraction of the cost. If you want something that feels more solid and polished in the hands then get the Sony's.For under $100, I think these are pretty good as far as overhead wireless headphones go.

These fit my headphone needs most excellently! The battery life, even in Noise Cancelling mode, is more than double my older headphones. The sound quality to me, I know it varies from person to person, was outstanding. The 6.1Bluetooth paired quickly with all my electronics. My only ding is the various noise cancelling settings described on the website; but on the headphones it is either high cancellation or ambient to hear the surroundings. Overall I am very happy with these second generation W820NB Plus headphones by Edifier.
