Value for money—truly. I own the Sony WH-1000XM4, and these Edifier W820NB Plus Gen 2 get about 80% of the way there for a lot less. Battery life is on par (sometimes better), comfort is excellent, and the snug fit actually stays put better than my XM4s when walking or at the gym. I wore them for an 8-hour class with no hot spots or fatigue.Sound and ANC are where the gap shows. Max volume isn’t as high as the XM4s but there’s no noticeable distortion, which I appreciate. Bass is present but not as punchy, and the mids/treble are a bit muddy compared to Sony. Noise canceling does a solid job with steady sounds (like white noise) but struggles more with unpredictable noises—again, expected at this price. Overall, if you want most of the premium experience without the premium cost, these are easy to recommend.

It brings out the background noises. It’s super crystal clear with great highs and meets. The base response is very good as well. Is this going to be on the level of some of the highest in products absolutely not especially for the price but this hands-down beats so many different headsets that I have had within this price range and over and I am very happy with these so I would say if you’re interested in getting a nice quality headset this is one of them they look great I really like they look the logo the ear pads are very comfortable. You can wear them for a long time to battery last for a long time so these really have a lot going on for them in the positive section. I don’t have any negatives to say at least for me personally voice conversations people can hear me just fine background noise has been canceled so again pleasantly surprised very happy with the purchase. You guys are awesome. I’m going to go into the catalog and look at more of your products!!!

I have a large head. These headphones do the clamp thing. It hasn't given me a headache yet but I feel like it would if I wore them all day. My go-to headphones are the Astro A40's, they don't do the clamp thing at all. I have worn them all day without discomfort, so I know it can be done.The ANC feature works well and is just a button press from turning on and off.The sound is decent, the bass gets fairly deep. My gripes are that the bass could be deeper and a bit louder and I would be fully satisfied, but this is also a gripe I have with the Astro A40's. The other gripe is there is a peak in the upper mids that doesn't bother me with music, but I noticed was very evident when listening to podcasts.There is an app you can download that is called Edifier Connect. The app is very responsive and didn't crash when using it. However, the main thing I wanted to use it for was the custom EQ. I find that the EQ is very limited in terms of what you can do with actually changing the sound.The spatial EQ I didn't find did anything important to making it actually sound more spatial, if anything it made it sound thinner and more diffuse, but I don't get a larger sense of soundstage. The music EQ is much more preferable.The build quality feels good. I like that it can fold up for travel. My main contention is comfort (clamp feeling). If you have a normal size dome this will probably be great for you.

These headphones have nice sound quality. They look a little boxy on the head. I like the noise-cancelling- it's pretty good at eliminating sounds that would interrupt my music or podcasts. These are lightweight and comfortable to wear. They have a lot of features and a good charging life before needing to be recharged.

So I'll be honest right from the start: I'm an Edifier fanboy. They are an excellent audio brand providing quality sound at reasonable prices. I have 3 different speakers from them (R19U, R1280T, and MP85), and I've been wanting some headphones from them for a while now. I'm happy to say that these headphones more than live up to the lofty expectations I have for their products!I was happy from the moment I pulled these headphones out of the packaging, they look fantastic! They would fit right in on a shelf with more premium brands like Sony and Bose. The ear cups are very plush and do a good job of blocking sound all on their own. The band is nice and big, which surprised me I have a bigger head and I'm used to having to stretch the bands all the way out to wear them comfortably, but these one's I only had to do 3 "clicks" on each side. They are very comfortable overall and I can easily see myself wearing them for hours on end. I also love that it has physical buttons, I can't stand touch controls on peripherals. Pairing the headphones was simple (with one caveat I will talk about later) and the active noise cancellation works really well.I did have to do some tweaking in the Edifier ConneX app to get the EQ to where I wanted (I don't like fiddling with the EQ too much so I settled on the Dynamic preset). I really like that you are able to customize the multi-function button for ANC controls. The multipoint connection setting is interesting. I don't know of any situation where I'd want my headphones to be connected to two devices at the same time, but I guess it will be nice to have it in case I do!Now, there is one minor pain point with configuration in the app: When changing the "HD Audio Codec" settings to use the 96kHz sampling rate, I had to re-pair the headphones before they would connect again. I'm not sure if this is the fault of the headphones or my phone, so I'm not taking points away for this, I just wanted to point that out if anyone else gets confused why the headphones stop working after changing that setting.As for the sound quality, it is exactly what I expect from Edifier products. I will say I'm not an audiophile, so I'm sure there are some more subtle qualities that I am missing, but to me they sound great for the price. Like others have said, the sound stage is a little flat, but it still sounds very good overall. These are definitely not going to be the best headphones in the world, but there are plenty good for casual listening.All in all, I'm extremely pleased with these headphones. They are just more proof that Edifier is one of the best budget audio brands around.

This is basically a budget Sony WH-1000XM4. I will say this is a solid headphone. The noise canceling is comparable to the XM4s. I have tested them both in mowing, passenger car, and coffee shop environments. They both struggle a bit for mowing, but that is an extreme case. Unlike the XM4s the app has a preset that actually sounds pretty good right out of the box if you like a balanced sound. Just use the edifier preset. The XM4s can sound great, but they do require diving into the EQ settings and applying a fan-made EQ. The Edifier's also support EQ, though I am not the most experienced with EQ, and not enough time has passed for fans to be sharing their great creations. The app is just as fully featured and polished as Sony's offerings.Now, what are the downsides of choosing this instead of the XM4s? From my experience, it is just the build quality and sacrificing a bit of comfort. The pads feel noticeably cheaper and flatten quickly on the Edifiers, and the plastic feels cheaper and more creaky, and the hinges are noticeably lower quality. If these are minor issues to you then the Edifier is a great choice at a fraction of the cost. If you want something that feels more solid and polished in the hands then get the Sony's.For under $100, I think these are pretty good as far as overhead wireless headphones go.

These fit my headphone needs most excellently! The battery life, even in Noise Cancelling mode, is more than double my older headphones. The sound quality to me, I know it varies from person to person, was outstanding. The 6.1Bluetooth paired quickly with all my electronics. My only ding is the various noise cancelling settings described on the website; but on the headphones it is either high cancellation or ambient to hear the surroundings. Overall I am very happy with these second generation W820NB Plus headphones by Edifier.

These headphones are the first headphones I've tried from edifier I have their 1280 speakers from years ago and their newer planar earbuds so I expected good things from these headphones. The headset itself is a plastic build that's fairly lightweight but feels heavier on my head than my quiet comfort 45 the plastic doesn't creak and has no pressure points so it's a fairly comfortable listening experience. There's the basic controls on the headset but you'll want to use the app to switch between noise cancellation modes and eq settings. The headphones themselves sound pretty good I listened for around a hour before my ears started to get hot. I never felt that I was missing anything and while it's not as balanced as a open back wired headset it's a solid listening experience especially for the value. The color options are nice and connecting to your phone is really simple you can control everything without your phone if you use the buttons. Overall it's a solid headphone I do wish it had some sort of carrying case even a fabric one to keep dust away.

Purchased these to replace my Soundcore Q45 in which the headband split/cracked into pieces exposing the wires to the ear pads.I am not an audiophile so I reached out to a friend to recommend headphones under $100 as I primarily use my headphones (90%) to watch movies, TV shows. He mentioned Edifier was a decent brand in this price range so I opted for these as these are 2025 version over the W830NB and have to say quite pleased with my selection. Pluses over the Q45: lighter, ANC better and can select degree of NC, mid tones sound cleaner, Bluetooth 6.1 and longer playback time. The downside for me is the bass is weaker than the Q45 and I I find the Soundcore application has more options to play with and customize your own sound profile is easier.Overall pleased with these headphones and glad I pulled the trigger at this price point.I should mention that a few individuals stated volume to low, but I disagree. I lost some hearing being a platoon leader of M1 Tanks in the Army and the volume is quite load even with my hearing loss.

I've actually fallen asleep in them and woken up in the morning with no issues with my head or ears. I appreciate that they have a separate bluetooth button, because so many headphones do not and require you to know different button hold times and combinations that can be forgotten if you have multiple headsets.The noise cancellation is not the best, but pretty decent.The major issue I've had with these are that the voice announcements are so loud. These headphones fit me well and are comfortable to wear for an extended time. Sound quality is very good to me. The reason for 4 stars is the battery life is not as good as listed. Yesterday starting at 100% and using ANC on and off the battery was at 30% by bed time. The headphones were not even on all day. The listed battery life 88hrs nor the 49hrs with ANC. I am an Edifier fan, but I'm objective in my reviews. They don't get a pass on issues the products may have just bc I enjoy their products overall. That being said, there are no issues I can find with these headphones. Do they sound as good as the Edifier Stax Spirit S3? Not even close, but they are a third of the cost.The sound is your typical V-shape with boomy bass and crisp highs. Vocals are clear although a little recessed. Thankfully, there is an app that can help you adjust the sound to you liking. There's a multi-band EQ for custom settings or there are several presets to choose. (I'm writing this at work and I can't access the app settings without connecting the headphones that are sitting on my desk at home). I chose one preset, but after a while the highs became really fatiguing, so I swapped to another preset and it's been used exclusively. My point is if you don't like the sound, these EQ easily, so you can adjust to your liking.The ANC is very impressive for the cost of these headphones. I put them on and the normal TV volume is quieted to a whisper. I go to the restroom and the fan noise is completely cancelled. They cancel 99% of my surrounding office noise. The ANC is legit good. You can adjust the level of ANC via the app. You can also swap to passthrough or no ANC.The headphones are fairly lightweight, so there's not a lot of pressure pushing down on your head. The clamp force is minimal. It's enough to comfortably hold them on my head while moving, but they don't squeeze your ears and head.If you're looking for budget headphones that don't sound like budget headphones, I suggest you try these out. Edifier makes solid equipment, and the W820NB Plus Gen 2 is no exception.

I was surprised at the quality here! I've not used Edifier before, but these are pretty good cans for the price.You aren't getting Audio Technica level sound here, but it's really quite good. Lows aren't muddy, highs are clear without being tinny. They have a good punch and stay clear when you pump up the volume. Currently listening to Babymetal's new album and Ratatata sounds excellent. I can't speak Japanese, but the vocals are clear enough that I can make out what the words are, at least.I won't be using these as a daily driver, but I find the fit really comfortable and the sound cancellation to be excellent. So these would be perfect for a long flight or trying to drown out outside sounds. They're a bit deeper in the cups than most headphones, so they aren't resting on my ears at all. Actually, they're almost resting on my jawbone in a good way. The fit is odd, I don't know how to explain it. But I like it!Hm, as I'm writing this and liking the sound quality more and more... The cans stay clear and crisp even at low volume.Usability wise, it's what you would expect with buttons and placement. I really love that the buttons are rubberized instead of hard plastic. It's so much easier to press the buttons this way (just grab the can with your right hand and your thumb naturally goes where it should be). If I had to pick out something I didn't like, the plastic used throughout most of the headphones feels good, but it also feels like it might break easily. I'm mostly looking at the headband where the cans connect. I won't deduct a star as it hasn't broken, it just feels like I need to be a bit more careful about these than I normally would.The ambient sound functionality is pretty good, but for comparison, I find the Soundcore Q30 to have a better passthrough. On the other hand, the noise cancellation here is excellent. I would have liked a middle option that didn't use either passthrough or active cancellation, but the headphones just switch between the two modes.As expected, easy to pair and stable connection.
