Shockingly good

I bought these to improve the (miserable) sound quality of my Crosley 7-in-1 media player. It’s super cool but I’ve heard Hallmark cards with better sound quality. These fit nicely on my shelf and look good. I hooked them up via a 3.5mm to RCA cord. I’m genuinely shocked at how good they sound, especially considering the price. They easily fill my office with full spectrum sound. The limiting factor in my setup is 100% the Crosley, not the speakers.I couldn’t disagree with the reviewer that said the bass was lacking more. These have plenty of low end and don’t struggle or get muddy at high volumes.RE connectivity: the other review is incorrect. They only have 2 RCA inputs, nothing else. For my setup, that’s all I need. If you need optical, Bluetooth, or anything else, go with the R1380DB.

Surprisingly Good!

It is surprising how big, warm, and bright the sound from these speakers are. Not harsh. The response, compared to what I had, is much more even across the frequency range as I can hear it. Mids don't compete with highs, and lows down drown out the highs or mids. They get as loud as I need them to.They look amazing, feel solid, and the controls work perfectly and easily. I got them on sale for just over 100 bucks and they're well worth the price. That was my budget and I couldn't be happier since I don't really feel these are a compromise in any way. I much prefer them to the old Bose Companion 2 set I've had for over a decade which sound muddy in comparison. They also put out much more sound volume than the Bose set. Not bad for a "budget" set of speakers.

Solid, but doesn't eliminate need for a sub.

Good quality highs and mids once you turn the volume up. Was hoping for a bit better low end so that it would eliminate the need for a subwoofer - however that's not the case. Even a $50 Logitech or similar 2.1 system can play lower frequency bass notes better than these can, unfortunately. Still, a quality product for what it is.

Great sounding speakers with lots of input options.

Great sound quality, build quality, and looks. Includes speaker wire, about 8ft, RCA to RCA, RCA to mini, and an optical cable. The sound clarity is excellent with decent bass. Size is perfect for bookshelf or desktop. These were on sale and were a steal at the sale price.Remote control has buttons to control your line in 1, line in 2, Coax, and optical inputs.I have them connected to a Sonos Gen 1 Connect.
